Our detection teams are certified, trained professionals who provide highly efficient screening for various different scenarios. Our trainer and assessor, Gary Jackson, is world renowned and has placed his expertise behind our business. Gary continues to train and assist various Australian Law enforcement agencies such as the NSW Police in the Ivan Milat Murder case.

At Arco Security, our dogs are trained for a specific purpose in either Narcotics detection or Explosives detection with an emphasis on accuracy. Our handlers are trained to work with both types of dogs.
Our mission is to detect, locate and control various substances and explosives. We believe our dogs act as a deterrent for illegal activity and are an effective tool for anti-terrorism through the use of thorough foot patrols, vehicle searches and random explosives and narcotic sweeps.
Arco Security canines are always rotated for the purpose of them not getting attached to a handler and to give handlers experience with different dogs. This ensures our canines and our handlers are efficient and competent in their day to day activities.
Our search services are limited to detecting the odour of drugs or explosives. If an odour is detected, we will double check by bringing in a second detector canine to confirm. We will then inform the client or representatives that the detector dog has indicated the presence of an odour. Any action taken after that is entirely up to the client or representatives in charge. This is where our service ends.
EXPLOSIVES DETECTOR DOGS:
Our canines are trained to indicate 9 different type of real explosives and over 18000 different types of IED compositional matter, no matter the quantity or form. We only train our dogs on real odour, not the pseudo replacements.
NARCOTICS DOGS:
Our Narcotics Canines are trained to indicate Heroin, Marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Amphetamine and Ecstasy.
